Does anyone have good homeschool ideas? - homeschooling autism
My son is in kindergarten age, but it has done a first and second class. However, he is socially immature, and will be evaluated for autism. Does anyone have any ideas for homeschooling intelligent, but very immature in five years?

Homeschooling can be great for children with autism! But we must pay special attention to social skills. I am not speaking of children's ski school at home have no social skills and a community of homeschooling for the day of park and other social activities. Children with autism need to be directly taught appropriate social skills. There are books called social stories are short, little stories to share with other children or to ask how to wait in line. They have pictures that go with the story. Little things like that can be very difficult for children with autism. Check out this link. It can be customized stories they want to use. That they show that children are not verbally, but you can use any story she wanted to help your child adjust social skills is difficult.

Sometimes there are groups of young people by therapists to teach social skills. You could try to add something like home schooling.
For academics, it seems that you have something that works when you are working on the work of the first and second year. As a child, whether that learning style, visual, kinesthetic, etc.
Best wishes
Wow! That's awesome! There are places where it can be very fast if it has or not autism, can test up to 2 hours and achieve a result very closely. It should not be a continuous process or a long evaluation. In addition, several large doctors were found that the elimination of all foods that can process from feeding your child autism reverse "autism". Not change (Do not get your hopes up - some children fully from changes in dietary others to benefit one weeks) So I throw that out there :-)
In answer to your question:
Conducting investigations of the unit. Ask him to use all your 5 senses to learn. Choose a theme (eg, reptiles), and visit daily. Catching a lizard, feed something about their "habitat" of the genus, species, etc. Talk about dinosaurs. On behalf of the American alligator. Go to the library and find books about reptiles. Make a paper mache crocodile for the arts. Write a gecko for English. Add reptiles in mathematics. Watch a video from National Geographic at the time of silence. Building blocks for a reptile. Nowyou just visited all the problems through the use of a thing. Autistic children tend to focus on one thing, if the unit of study, would probably be for him very much, and fun to do.

Ed Helper is an ideal place for spreadsheets and other materials and includes specific training (I) think it is 20 USD / year. Imagine so many homeschool classes and physical education cooperatives for socialization is not a common problem. In addition, children in public schools, the "socialization" are with other children the same age, while homeschoolers are often more mature for children of all ages and adults, who often helps her. My children went to public school for a while, but this is our homeschooling 3 years and is sometimes difficult, but it was worth the sacrifice. My oldest has ADHD and bipolar disorder, and helped a lot. It is a very good product with the name Brainware Safari usually $ 350/child is only $ 50 below) on co-op, the buyer Homeschool (Link. Ideal for the treatment of specific learning disabilities or behavioral disorders, autism, etc. Good luck!
